Women's Aid Collective (WACOL carried out a one-day Gender sensitization march that brought about 300 people together.
The march started with advocacy visits to the Governor at the Enugu State Government House, State Party Chairmen of PDP and APC, Federal Radio Corporation as well as the leadership of Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers.
This was a high-profile road-show that was spiced with musical carnival and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) providing traffic passage.
Several women in politics, business, professional bodies, civil society organizations, women’s groups and associations, Gender Equality Movement (GEM) Platform members and various clusters, Mentees and Purple Clubs Associates, Male Gender Champions and other V4C Men Network including RTLs were all part of the road walk.
They submitted their 10 points demand to influencers and communicated it to the general public.
